Return Problem Cause Solution

Detachment of roof tiles and ridge tiles

Discover the potential causes and view the solutions
• Bonding mortar with low adhesion capacity
• Moisture that penetrates the bonding mortar due to its absorbency erodes it, while in freezing conditions, it expands and causes cracks and detachments

Remove the detached roof tiles, as well as the bonding mortar, and then, after cleaning the surface from dust, dampen it with water. Position the new roof tiles and bond them using the fiber-reinforced polymeric mortar for ridge tile installation PERLAFIX.
Finally, to ensure the complete waterproofing of the mortar, coat it with the cementitious waterproofer for ridge tiles D-9. Alternatively, we can use the flexible cementitious sealant and waterproofer DUROFLEX POWDER (roof tile color).
