Plaster salts that are activated either due to accumulated moisture inside the wall or due to moisture penetrating through hairline cracks

Before proceeding with any repair, allow the surface to dry completely. Next, sand with No60 sandpaper to remove the friable spots and thoroughly remove the dust.

Ideally, waterproof the masonry with the flexible mortar WATERPROOF MORTAR to protect it from future moisture penetration.

Prime with SOLVENT-BASED PRIMER (ΑΣΤΑΡΙ ΔΙΑΛΥΤΟΥ) (The SOLVENT-BASED PRIMER is thinned with DUROSTICK’s THINNER 101. Strictly follow the dilution and usage instructions stated in the product’s TDS) or with the micromolecular stabilizer AQUAFIX.

Apply two coats of the acrylic paint 10 YEARS WARRANTY (10 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΕΓΓΥΗΣΗ), the elastomeric waterproofing paint D-80 HYDROSTOP ELASTIC, or DUROSTICK 100% ACRYLIC.

Alternatively, apply the hybrid acrylic-polyurethane paint DUROPAINT-PU, which provides ten times higher washing resistance compared to standard acrylic paints.
