Lack of adequate waterproofing in the area combined with rainwater infiltration (splashing).

Remove friable spots and blistered paint from the entire surface up to the height they appear, using a putty knife.

Next, up to a height of 30 centimeters or more if required, dampen the surface or prime with the micromolecular stabilizer AQUAFIX. Then, apply two coats of the flexible cementitious waterproofer DUROFLEX POWDER, or the flexible masonry waterproofing mortar WATERPROOF MORTAR. The application is completed by priming with the micromolecular stabilizer AQUAFIX or SOLVENT PRIMER and painting with 10 YEARS WARRANTY or D-80 HYDROSTOP ELASTIC.
