Paint blistering on exterior surfaces

Discover the potential causes and view the solutions
• Application at high temperatures exceeding 35°C
• Moisture escaping from within the masonry
• Application of paint under conditions of excessively high humidity

Remove the affected areas using sandpaper and a putty knife.

Fill/skim coat if necessary using the resin-modified cementitious putty GRANULAR or GRANULAR ULTRA (depending on the imperfections and how smooth of a finish is desired).
Prime with SOLVENT-BASED PRIMER (The SOLVENT-BASED PRIMER is thinned with DUROSTICK’s THINNER 101. Strictly follow the dilution and usage instructions stated in the product’s TDS) or with the micromolecular stabilizer AQUAFIX.
Then, apply two coats of the acrylic paint 10 YEARS WARRANTY or 100% ACRYLIC PAINT.
